I’m so so so excited. My apartment is really starting to feel like home as I watch my vision come to life. As you may know, I moved into my new SF digs about 2 months ago, and getting it together has been a process, let me tell you.

Let’s face it… moving is such a pain in the ass, and this move definitely did not go off without a hitch. There were a few hiccups, such as my couch not fitting in the elevator. I live on the 8th floor, so this was a problem. As annoying as this was, it was also kind of amazing, because it gave me the perfect excuse to start from square one.… Read More

Big Basin Winery

So… I’ve rarely gotten political on here, and I rarely will… but boy oh boy did last week send me on an emotional roller coaster ride, as I know it did for so many.

Without getting too into it, I was less than pleased with the results. Let me re-phrase that. I was absolutely TERRIFIED by the results. Let’s just say I had my pantsuit on and I was ready to party, instead, the night ended with my friends and I in tears, holding each other, and fearful of what the next day, and the next four years would hold.

Magic Turmeric Tea

I don’t talk about this often, but I suffer from a number of chronic, auto-immune conditions. At the root of all of them is inflammation. Out of control, raging inflammation. I am not a complainer, but I will say it is absolutely no fun to feel like a 90 year old woman. No offense to 90 year old women… rock on with your bad selves! Anyhow, I have been through the ringer this year with various doctors, treatments, and procedures. Thank goodness for health insurance, am i right?!? I am NOT a fan of pills, prescriptions, and western medicine in general (though it definitely has it’s place… don’t get me wrong).… Read More

[ The view from our church isn’t pretty or anything… ]

So… this weekend was pretty amazing. The whole fam bam was in town for my Grandpa’s birthday as well as my nephew ( & godson’s ) baptism. It was such a beautiful celebration and I’m sorry but my nephew Lucho is the cutest kid to ever walk to planet ( even though he doesn’t walk yet )!!

[ The man of the hour. ]

We kicked off the weekend in Union Square where we got to see the elusive Batkid in action. If you haven’t heard about Batkid a) where have you been, and b) check him out here!… Read More

Make My Day: Ode To The B&W Photo

Processed with VSCOcam with b1 preset

Things aren’t always black & white… or are they? If you couldn’t already tell by my recent Instys, I’ve been REALLY into black and white photography as of late. Maybe it’s the fact that it’s Fall and I’m so over the bright brights of summer. Maybe it’s that my eye is always drawn to the juxtaposition of black and white highlights. Or… maybe it’s just the fact that black is my fav color, or rather lack of color [sorry. always has been. always will be.] Whatever the case may be… I’m into it.

I love photography. You’ll rarely see me without a camera around my neck.… Read More
